Starshine Performance Troupe

Service Description

Kiddos in grades 3-6 are invited to join Starshine’s Performance Troupe! The Performance Troupe will learn and hone theater skills and then apply them to create a one-act scripted play. Theater skills we’ll learn include movement, voice, character building, focus and concentration, as well as sensory and emotional awareness. We’ll also spend time designing costumes and promoting our show. The play will be chosen to suit the diversity of the group and an ensemble cast, meaning that each performer will have a special role and none will be “the lead.” Performers will begin designing their costumes in class, and will then be responsible for creating their costume at home. Starshine encourages homemade costumes put together with what you have, but you may also choose to purchase some pieces. Starshine will provide some performers with costume pieces to borrow.
